How to pay toll fees on The Nairobi Expressway
The ETC Service is the most efficient way to use the Nairobi Expressway. This requires you to fill an application and have an OBU device installed and toll fees are automatically deducted.
Motorists can also use other toll payment methods including an MTC Card, Cash payment or Mobile Money.
Mobile Money
For Mobile Money, press the voucher button at the entry station, pay with mobile money using the voucher at exit.
Cash Payment

When you look at our buses using the the Expressway, you get several advantages. You save on time, you’re able to save energy, you’re able to save on your cost of operations. ‘Doing an electric bus, you’re able to reduce the amount of pollution in the air, and that is what I see on the MOJA Expresway.
I was coming home from work and it was a bit late. I got a tyre burst and I was scared. However, the rescue team came, secured the place and made me feel very safe. In less than ten minutes, they changed the tyre and I left very happy.
When you use the Expressway, you’re able to save in terms of fuel and also efficiency in terms of the many trips you make. So we’re able to transport passengers directly from Kitengela to Nairobi.
Our morning schedule was very tight. We used to wake up very early, latest 5.30a.m, and getting to school by 7.30a.m was really hectic. But with the Expressway, we can easily wake up at 6.00a.m. and I drop the kids to school on time, and I also get to work on time.
