President Uhuru Kenyatta officially launched Kenya’s iconic Nairobi Expressway after a successful public trial.
The Nairobi Expressway has been opened to motorists on a trial basis. This will give us the opportunity to see what can be improved on.
The first edition of the Nairobi City Marathon was held on 8th May 2022 at the corridors of the Nairobi Expressway bringing together thousands of runners from Kenya and beyond.
We continue to engage various stakeholders to ensure operational success of the Nairobi Expressway
The Expressway will contribute to carbon emission reduction and sustainable development by implementing landscaping in the median strip and on the bridge piers. We will collaborate with partners to offset the loss of vegetation by planting trees.
We aim to increase the level of engagement of students in Technical Education through the provision of field tours, industrial attachments and other work experience opportunities.
